«Innocence & Love – From heavenly purity to human longing»
Together with Swiss soprano Chelsea Zurflüh and trumpeter Immanuel Richter, Festival Strings Lucerne and Danuel Dodds create an extraordinary concert evening exploring the emergence of love – from heavenly purity to the vulnerable beauty of human emotions.
With Chelsea Zurflüh, one of Europe’s most exciting young soprano voices appears on stage with Festival Strings Lucerne for the first time. The winner of the Concours de Genève has recently drawn attention with major debuts, including performances at the Bavarian State Opera, the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
Beginning with the trumpet as a symbol of radiant clarity and a selection of Baroque arias, the programme unfolds in a broad musical arc. In the second part, Mozart leads ever deeper into the world of human emotions – from tender infatuation and longing to hope, pain and farewell.
