We're talking about the sun-seeker Chelsea Marilyn, a name to remember. The internationally acclaimed and award-winning Swiss soprano, with roots in the Seychelles, brings with her a repertoire of arias spanning from the Baroque era to the 20th century, pieces that hold deep personal meaning for her and demand everything of her. The morning sun opens with Haydn's Symphonies of the Times of Day, all of which, incidentally, will be performed as a musical journey through the sun at the ClassiX Festival, and bids farewell after a voyage through various countries and eras with a song by the American jazz singer Norah Jones. The Sinfonia Concertante for sextet has become a true specialty of the CHAARTS. Mozart's remarkable masterpiece, with the solo parts distributed among six instruments, gains in this version a truly delightful depth of personality and expression.
